Aya is known for his canvases where the colors of his beloved Colombian countryside give birth to magical abstract landscapes of a unique poetry. Blue oceans, tropical flowers, palm trees are the foundation of subtle compositions of pastel blues, green, yellow and purple. Aya was born in Paris in 1954 and after studying in Paris and Switzerland he moved to Colombia in his late teens. He lives and works in Cartagena.
